Where is the Nuketown Paintball Field? – Nuketown Paintball

The NUK3TOWN map is a re-imagination of the fan-favorite Nuketown map from Black Ops. Set in the near future, players will experience a paintball field like never before. The two opposing teams duke it out in a futuristic mixed damage-heavy assault/defense style gameplay.

The biggest map in NUK3TOWN contains over six times the playable area of Call of Duty “s original map, and features an underground starting point. The map has a number of interesting verticality and attack/defense options, and with its unique look, NUK3TOWN is the fan-favorite replacement for Nuketown from Black Ops.

In order to play on NUK3TOWN, all players need to do is press the “Continent” button during a spawn round. This will spawn you within the United States in a different location than normal. This configuration has the added benefit of allowing you to see the real-world version of NUK3TOWN in reference to the game, rather than just looking at a picture. Keep in mind this feature is only active within the U.S. spawn zone.

Below are the spawn locations of NUK3TOWN for a race, a pointstreak, and domination gametype in classic COD…

When the game starts, each team has 30 seconds to capture and hold at least one point on the NUK3TOWN map. Obvious bases are designated for each side, such as the capture zone on the East side at the center of the map.

There are no timed rounds, and you don’t have to truly reach the end of your time limit to win. Similarly, you do not have to horribly maul or demolish others to win. In fact, the game isn’t over when either team has captured the last point. Many of the other traditional COD game modes are available, such as Domination and Free For All.

Enjoy the NUK3TOWN experience on your favorite multiplayer or share it with friends.

Is the Nuketown Paintball field real? – Nuketown Paintball

It’s real. The Nuketown Paintball field is located at a decommissioned power plant and is open to the public. It’s worth a visit if you’re in LA. The map is small, but the nuances of play add up. Quite often you’ll play with a dying partner who was the last to load in, or vice-versa. We highly suggest playing with partners that can shoot well — sneakers work fine, but gun magazines would make a huge difference. Aim for the trash cans to avoid getting shot, and avoid touching the stairs or benches, which can be highly dangerous.

Killing a teammate is rarely an enjoyable experience, and since there are two teams — red and blues — it can get ugly fast. Players often attempt to prematurely end a match, and teammates are not fond of people who cut them off abruptly or refuse to give up. Cutting off an opponent is also a big no-no. Being obnoxious, swearing and/or wasting time is banned, and you’ll quickly get told off by your teammates.

Getting down on your knees is forbidden, and it might get your teammates removed from the game. Many servers allow the use of kneel-downs, but there are two important subtleties:

  • Kneeling on an elevated surface exposes you to the air, heightening your exposure to hostile players.
  • Kneeling down exposes you to your teammates, who will likely try to remove you from the game.

Let the full details of the rules be spelled out before attempting to play — they are hard to remember, even if there’s a nearby chalkboard detailing what’s allowed and what’s not.

Zombie Paintball

If you enjoy some zombies, then Nuketown is a far better map for you. Launched in 2011, the average life of a zombie is 18 days — and that’s if you can make it out alive.
