While girls are more than capable of playing paintball safely, some still ask the same question “can I paintball while pregnant?” The truth is, that paintball is a sport that can be enjoyed by almost anyone. Although it is mostly male-dominated we all need to celebrate and encourage more girls to join the game!
However, there are a few factors that you need to consider before assuming that you are able to get a hit or handle a paintball gun if you’re pregnant. For example, most safety gear and rules are designed for women. Women are typically smaller in stature, and their bodily changes add to the difficulty of Paintballing. Therefore, if you are pregnant, there are some things you should keep in mind.
Can I Paintball While Pregnant?
Can you paintball while pregnant? Yes, you can. As long as you follow the safety tips below, you’ll be alright. Just make sure that you take all of the precautions, and know-how to avoid putting yourself or your baby at any possible risk. Also, it is great to see your doctor prior to playing to get the go-ahead from them as to if you are safe and ready to play. Everybody is different and has different pregnancies so it is best to be safe than unknowingly putting you and your baby at risk.
Before getting yourself into the game, it is best that you determine the level of skill you currently possess. For example, a Paintball player that has never played before will not be as successful as someone who is a more experienced paintballer.
It’s wise to try out Paintballing for at least 30 minutes prior to starting a round just to practice the proper safety and ensure your body is ready!
If you have been playing paintball for some time, then you are probably already aware of the fact that you need proper attire. You should wear clothing that will keep you comfortable and warm but will also cover the areas that may become covered in paint. It’s best to wear this type of clothing while pregnant because it will help to protect you and your baby from any complications that may arise during the game. We reccomend that you wear protective clothing, which may be a bit more than what you typically wear as you want to be very careful!
Another way to be safe while paintballing is to bring along with you some medications and equipment that will allow you to be safe during the game. Common eye and nose irritants, such as paint, are known to cause severe headaches and nausea, which can be very dangerous if you are pregnant.
Be sure to keep these things in easy reach, and bring along a bag of your favorite refreshments to enjoy while you paintball. Also, it is always a good idea to go to the field with someone so they can assist you if and when anything arises.

If you are a Paintball player who loves to smoke, then it may be best to stop taking this habit during your pregnancy. This is because your unborn child may be sensitive to secondhand smoke. You may also want to stay away from any type of alcohol because this will only make matters worse. The point is, even though you love Paintball, you still need to stay within reason.
Can I paintball while pregnant? It’s best to exercise moderation when it comes to playing Paintball during pregnancy. While it’s completely fine to get out there and enjoy a few games with your friends, don’t overdo it. Doing so can lead to a number of complications for both you and your baby, so stick to the restrictions that you’ve set forth beforehand.
While you may still be able to play Paintball, it would probably be a lot more dangerous if you do so while your Pregnancy is at its fullest. Just be sure to talk with your physician about any other sports that you may be able to partake in during your pregnancy so that you don’t put your unborn child in any unnecessary danger. Just be sure that you always have your doctor’s approval and know how much you can handle being around paintball in general while you are pregnant.
